Lifelines
Life can often be repetitive. The lines on the canvas in many of these paintings, represent days or years in our lifetime placed onto an abstract landscape, representing the places in which our lives are played out.
Most people do the same thing, day in, day out. You drive to work at a certain time, do the shopping, do the housework, drive the kids to sport and so on. It can become very monotonous.
There are however, unexpected events which may change this routine. You may become sick, go on holiday, meet someone new or someone close may die. Often these events will cause short-lived changes in our lives, until we return to the same routine that we had before or we replace it with a new one.
